Standing for Housing, Stability & Second Chances

Unique Family Services stood alongside community leaders, advocates, and partners at the Home for Good Coalition Rally in Chicago — in support of legislation aimed at expanding access to housing and essential resources for individuals returning home from incarceration.

Housing is more than shelter; it is the foundation upon which individuals rebuild their lives. As a committed advocate, UFS remains proud to advance solutions that ensure every individual has a fair opportunity to thrive.

Our Pathways to Purpose initiative meets participants where they are — from early childhood through young adulthood.

Children ages 5–11
Ages 5–11 "Foundations"
Early childhood enrichment, academic readiness, and character-building activities that lay the groundwork for lifelong confidence. Free of charge for all participants.
Youth ages 12–17
Ages 12–17 "Rising Leaders"
Mentorship, leadership development, violence prevention, and pathways into higher education and career exploration for teens at critical crossroads.
Young adults 18–24
Ages 18–24 "Future Forward"
Job readiness training, employment placement, and wraparound support to help young adults achieve economic independence and long-term stability.

Who We Are

Nikki Jackson-Green, Founder & Executive Director of Unique Family Services

Our Mission

Unique Family Services NFP is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization committed to helping youth and young adults ages 5 to 24 build a brighter future. We provide job readiness skills, guidance, and support to those who need it most in our community.

Our signature initiative, the Pathways to Purpose Youth Program, offers mentorship, academic support, life skills training, job readiness, and opportunities for community engagement — designed to build confidence, promote educational and career success, and reduce the risk factors that contribute to poverty, violence, and homelessness.

Nikki Jackson-Green, MBA

Founder & Executive Director — With more than a decade of nonprofit leadership, Nikki established UFS in 2012 to uplift youth and families across Chicagoland. Motivated by deep community roots and lived experience, she believes investing in youth means investing in a stronger tomorrow.
