Unique Family Services Nfp is a 501C3 non-profit organization founded in 2012 on the south side of Chicago. Our organization is now based in Evergreen Park, Illinois but we continue to service the Chicago area. Here at Unique Family Services Nfp, we are committed to investing our expertise and resources to further achieve our cause. Since 2012, we’ve been supporting our community members in a variety of ways and measuring our success not by monetary size, but by more qualitative measurements such as the scale and effectiveness of our efforts. Just imagine what we can achieve together!

The Problem

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, as of November 2022 the Chicago area has an unemployment rate of 4.4%. Unemployment creates huge income inequalities in society, which leads to high crime rates. Information released from the FBI about Chicago states, “In Chicago, 1 in 28 people will become a victim of violent crime.”

The Solution:

Unique Family Services understands that unemployment not only affects the individual on a financial level, but also puts a financial, mental, and emotional strain on the family. Through motivational activities, such as interview seminars, vision board preparation, and educational support events, UFS is aimed at encouraging education, preparedness, planning, and taking action to bridge the gap between employment seekers and companies. We have helped over 100+ people with creating resumes and finding them employment by partnering with different companies and temp agencies annually.
